The woman behind the collective

Meet Dana Sayers

Dana Sayers is the heart behind Homegrown Creative Collective. With a background in hospitality management focused on social events and exclusive clubs, Dana built a career centered on bringing people together. After excelling in the restaurant industry, she shifted into liquor sales for a change of pace—where she discovered a deep love for branding, storytelling, and menu design.

As her life evolved, Dana met her husband and began raising their two beautiful boys, while continuing to nurture her creative side through work with a social media company. Storytelling remained the common thread throughout every chapter. Today, Dana brings that passion full circle by telling the stories of local artists and makers—while creating art of her own.

Whether she’s designing, building community, or throwing a party (like the Ipswich Homegrown Farmers Market each week), Dana embodies the natural crossover between the restaurant world and the creative one—where connection, creativity, and experience always come first.

How It Started

Several years ago, Dana founded the Ipswich Homegrown Farmers Market with a simple but powerful vision: to bring together local farmers, artisans, and makers in one shared space, celebrating all things local. What began as a weekly gathering quickly became a cornerstone of community connection.

But the vision didn’t stop there. Dana wanted to create a year-round opportunity for artists and makers to showcase their work beyond the market season. That idea became Homegrown Creative Collective—a permanent space rooted in community, creativity, and collaboration.

The Collective Goal

Homegrown Creative Collective is more than a shop—it’s a platform for local artists, a gathering place for creative energy, and a reflection of the community it serves. The Collective offers a space where makers can share their work, tell their stories, and connect with others who value thoughtful, locally rooted creativity.

It’s also a place where Dana continues to create, collaborate, and celebrate the artists around her—keeping the Homegrown mission alive all year long.
